[호주박물관 2021년 1월 소식] Late night opening hours, talks and tours throughout January

Why not visit us after dark?
 
 
 

Members are invited to join us at the AM after hours on Thursday evenings this summer. From Thursday 7 January, our doors will be open until 9pm. Expect DJs, a pop-up bar, special tours and a chance to explore our summer blockbuster Tyrannosaurs – Meet the Family after hours. 

 

An exclusive Members-only tour, Meet the New Museum, will introduce you to our recently launched new spaces after the year-long renovation, Project Discover. Four 30-minute tours will run each Thursday evening. Spots are limited. To book, please come to the admission desk on the day.

 

On Thursday 21 January a special, multi-event program, Ngalu Warrawi Marri – We Stand Strong, will be held to champion First Nations voices and celebrate resilience.

Ngalu Warrawi Marri – We Stand Strong
 

An evening of talks, workshops, tours and performances celebrating First Nations resilience. Featuring live music by Dobby + Barkaa; panel discussion on representation and race hosted by FBi's Sara Khan; First Nations Gallery tours; and weaving workshops with First Nations artisans.

Classical Weekends
 

A soundscape of classical music will greet visitors in the Hintze Hall every weekend until the end of January. Featuring celebrated musicians from the Australian Chamber Orchestra and young principals from the Sydney Youth Orchestras. They will perform Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Borodin, Mendelssohn and more.
