At MoMA PS1, the opportunity to discover something new has never been greater, with eight new exhibitions featuring the work of artists from around the globe now open.
Nancy Spero: Paper Mirror traces the full of arc of an iconic artist, activist, and feminist’s career; Simone Fattal’s mystical, enigmatic sculptures draw on ancient history and mythology; Gina Beavers’s visceral paintings are inspired by images of “food porn,” bodybuilder selfies, and makeup tutorials sourced from the Internet; and Redaction, a project by artist and filmmaker Titus Kaphar and poet and attorney Reginald Dwayne Betts, focuses on the ways the US court system exploits and erases the poor and incarcerated from public consciousness.
At MoMA, you can experience Joan Miró’s radiantly imaginative paintings, immerse yourself in the world of New York visionary Lincoln Kirstein, revel in art that pushes the boundaries of technology, and explore how good design enhances everyday life.
